O The New York State Department of Nature Conservation said on Thursday that its agents were called to the home of a woman who discovered a wild turkey in the middle of her office.
The woman was alerted after hearing a noise coming from one of the rooms in her home in Erie County, and having discovered the bird, which had entered through a window in the apartment, which is on the second floor of the building.
After the scare, it was possible to keep the turkey in the upstairs bathroom, before the agents arrived. Once there, the agents managed to catch the animal with a neighbor’s fishing net and take it outside the house.
The bird did not appear to be injured and was released into the wild afterwards.
