The figures are in the new survey of the consortium of press vehicles on the situation of the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil based on data from the state health departments, consolidated at 8 pm this Thursday.
There are already 71 days in a row with the moving average of deaths above the thousand mark; the country now completes 16 days with this average above the 2 thousand dead per day; It’s the sixth day with the average above the 2.5 thousand mark.
See the sequence of last week in the moving average:
In confirmed cases, since the beginning of the pandemic 12,842,717 Brazilians have had or have the new coronavirus, with 89,459 of those confirmed on the last day. The moving average in the last 7 days was 73,993. This represents a + 2% variation in relation to cases registered in two weeks, which indicates trend of stability in diagnoses.
Sixteen states and the Federal District are on the rise in deaths: ES, MG, RJ, SP, DF, GO, MS, MT, AP, RO, TO, AL, CE, MA, PB, PE and PI.
This comparison takes into account the average number of deaths in the last 7 days until the publication of this balance sheet in relation to the average recorded two weeks ago (understand the criteria used by the G1 to analyze pandemic trends).
It is worth mentioning that there are states in which the low average number of deaths can lead to large percentage variations. Moving averages data are, in general, in decimal numbers and rounded to facilitate the presentation of the data.
Data on coronavirus cases and deaths in Brazil were obtained after an unprecedented partnership between G1, O Globo, Extra, O Estado de S.Paulo, Folha de S.Paulo and UOL, which began to work, since June 8, in a collaborative way to gather the necessary information in the 26 states and the Federal District (know more).
