“We talked about bilateral cooperation, with emphasis on the measures that the executive has already taken or is taking against money laundering and in the fight against corruption”, he said.

According to the ambassador of the United States of America to Angola, the US Treasury Department continues to offer training to various ministries, as well as to support other technical groups in strengthening national capacities to face these challenges.

“The Biden administration is now looking at Angola and Africa with great interest, because it wants to have more cooperation,” said the American diplomat.

The US ambassador stressed that her country is supporting the vaccination program and the acquisition of vaccines against covid-19, stressing that vaccines worth approximately US $ 4 billion (€ 3.4 billion) have already been provided. ) for the African continent, under the Covax initiative.

“In this case, we see that the United States of America is back to support and even in any administration of ours we always continue to support the fight against HIV / AIDS and malaria in the countries”, he stressed.
