US climate becomes market focus

Climatic conditions in the United States are beginning to become the focus of attention in the market during the North American growing season, points out AgResource Brasil Consulting. “Recently, the plains region of the country has received large volumes of rainfall, which has also generated flooded areas. However, a change in the pattern decreases the chances of rain and, at the moment, precipitation should not return, which benefits the spring planting work ”, highlight market analysts.

“The North American model ECMWF indicates a range of dry weather extended throughout the USA until May, which should reach from the Pacific coast to the country’s Atlantic coast, from the center to the south. In the Midwest / Southwest regions of the plains, the period raises concerns about the loss of soil moisture, which will also be accompanied by high temperatures ”, adds the Consultancy.

SOUTH AMERICA

Meanwhile, in South America, the North American model (GFS) analyzed by the team at Consultoria AgResource Brasil points to a decrease in humidity for northern Argentina next week. In addition, analysts point out, the climate model presents a slightly wetter weather for the states of Santa Catarina, Paraná and parts of Rio Grande do Sul.

“Likewise, some areas of Mato Grosso and southern Minas Gerais have humidity forecast from 7 to 9 April in the last update of the model, but possibly the model is estimated to be overestimated”, conclude the experts at AgResource Brasil.
