Army general Otávio do Rêgo Barros, a former spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic under the government of Jair Bolsonaro, criticized the president on Wednesday 31, in an article published on the blog of journalist Ricardo Noblat on Look.

Without naming Bolsonaro by name, the military man states that “the head of the Executive Branch sometimes tries to establish an emotional connection between his deliberations and the State institution: Armed Forces”.

Rêgo Barros reinforces that “the intellectual maturation – a striking characteristic in the training of current bosses – was not present in his trajectory”.

The general further declares that “his apparent desire to transform this century-old institution, which has the highest levels of reliability, into a structure of political support affronts everything that the Armed Forces defend in their professional attitude”.
