Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus with Exynos receive One UI 3.1 based on Android 11 via custom ROM

Officially abandoned by Samsung when we talk about new versions of the Android operating system, the advanced Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are undeniably competent for the latest updates and knowing this, our attention is turned to the availability of custom ROM made available on the internet.

One of the most interesting examples in this regard is the Noble ROM, which won an unofficial port that allows owners of the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus with Exynos chipset (that was not officially sold in Brazil) to benefit from the news that are reaching the most recent lines.

According to the information revealed in the changelog, this custom ROM is directed exclusively to the global (SM-G96xF) and Korean (SM-G96xN) versions that have their own chip, therefore not at least for now, compatible with the version with Snapdragon 845 that was sold here.

In the changelog, we have mentioned the correction of the photo editor, of the heart rate sensor, of the biometrics settings after setting a new biometric lock, adding the missing modes of Sound Alive, the correction of the installation message error “system not mounted” and symbolic link errors, inclusion of the new option in AROMA to choose what type of debloat, removal of the Good Lock session in Aroma, the offer of updated kernels, improvements in stability and performance and the removal of the Chinese Smart Manager and camera modes that do not work (including Live Focus and Pro video mode).

To close, we also have confirmation that this new custom ROM already has the security patch of March 2021, therefore being aligned with the security patch officially delivered to the devices by Samsung and which was made official just over two weeks ago.

Although the novelty does not favor Brazilians, it may represent the arrival of versions for devices with a heart signed by Qualcomm, something that, for now, there is still no forecast to happen.

If you are curious to know more about it, you can check more details in the publication in XDA Developers, and TudoCelular is not responsible for any problem, failure or error arising from the installation of the customization in question.
