In the second half, Francisco Trincão, at 60 minutes, made the second, in a reload after a first shot by Tiago Tomás, and Francisco Conceição, at 65 ‘, stole the ball to Jasper Werff to, in the face of the goalkeeper, conclude for the 3-0.

Portugal ends the group stage with a clean sheet, the result of three victories in as many games and six goals scored and zero conceded. In the group’s other game, Croatia lost 1-2 to England but, thanks to Bradaric’s goal in the rebates, secured second place and consequent access to the quarter-finals.
