Aras asks Nunes Marques to be rapporteur on the case of masses and services – Prisma

The PGR (Attorney General of the Republic), Augusto Aras, requested on Monday (5) the president of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), Luiz Fux, the redistribution of case that analyzes the reopening of churches for face-to-face ceremonies for Minister Nunes Marques.

Currently, the report of the action brought by the PSD belongs to Gilmar Mendes, who prohibited the holding of services, masses and other religious ceremonies with the presence of a public in the country in this Monday.

The PGR argues that the matter should be analyzed by Marques, since the minister is the rapporteur of a similar case, this one triggered by Anajure, and in the last week issued an injunction that authorized the presence of face-to-face services.

“The distribution rule established by the bylaws aims to avoid conflicting or contradictory decisions and to generate procedural savings,” says Aras in the document.

O president of the STF marked the analysis of the PSD’s action for next Wednesday (7).
