Staff at the Covid-19 vaccination post requested security support to rescue her from her family
An 85-year-old woman took advantage of the moment of being vaccinated, in Mexico, to deliver a help ticket to the nurses and to be rescued from her family, who mistreated her and kept her locked up at home, according to the woman.
The case took place in Iztapalapa, Mexico City, and was made public by the police on Sunday (4). The elderly woman said in the note that she was kept in deplorable and humiliating conditions. After reading the note, officials at the vaccination station called agents from the Department of Security and Citizenship who were at the scene, and pointed out the couple who accompanied her.
A 39-year-old woman identified as the elder’s daughter, and a 59-year-old son-in-law. They were detained by agents who were on the spot and presented to members of the Public Ministry.
