Francisco Lima, president of the National Statistics Institute (INE), recalls that these letters are only delivered to mailboxes, so watch out for possible con artists in the coming weeks.
Until May 3, citizens can also answer questionnaires over the Internet or through the alternative means provided by INE, which include the telephone number 210542021. Answers can also be given at the parish councils’ e-counters or by filling out paper questionnaires that enumerators will begin to deliver from May 31, complying with public health safety protocols.
According to INE’s accounts, a household of three should take around 20 minutes to answer this questionnaire, which has about 30 questions.
Altogether, around 15,000 people will be involved in the realization and treatment of the 2021 Census data.
