What will happen to LG smartphones?

The manufacturer revealed that smartphones that have already launched on the market will continue to be sold and, support for them will have a variable time according to each region.

After launching the innovative LG Wing, the manufacturer managed to stay in the spotlight thanks to the many rumors and leaks of information about the already confirmed LG Rollable, which would be the first smartphone to hit the market with a scrollable / extensible screen.

However, with the confirmation of the closure of its smartphone business, it is very likely that this smartphone will never end up being officially presented.

LG failed to sell its smartphone division

At the beginning of the year, rumors about the closure of its smartphone division intensified, eventually forcing the manufacturer to issue an official statement on the matter. In this statement, they confirmed that although they have not yet reached a final decision, the closure or sale of their smartphone division was a possibility.

The manufacturer tried to find a buyer for its smartphone division, but with such a negative track record over the years, they probably ended up getting no one interested in such a risky investment.

Their various efforts over the years simply have not borne fruit, with smartphones like the LG Wing and LG G5 giving way, but failing to win over users.
